Support for Children and Adults from the Eastern Part of Ukraine

In our project funded by Renovabis and in cooperation with the Yuriy Fedkovych National University in Chernivtsi, we work not only with adults who participate in group dynamics or receive individual therapy but also with children who, together with their families, have fled from the eastern regions of Ukraine and found a new home in Chernivtsi.

People arriving from areas affected by the war, those who have experienced the loss of loved ones killed on the front or are dealing with the tragedy of a missing family member, need a lot of care and support. We try to provide this help as much as we can. Working with children is different than working with adults because they also need support and care, but they experience the current tragedy in their own way. We work regularly with children — one of our therapists visits the university dormitory where families from eastern Ukraine have found shelter. In addition, we also work with children in the local hospital. More about this in another report.
